Paige Van Der Westhuizen delivered a standout performance at the Irish Open Swimming Championships, setting a new Zimbabwe national record in the women’s 50m freestyle.
She clocked an impressive 25.99 seconds in the final, finishing fourth in a highly competitive field while rewriting the national mark.
Van Der Westhuizen also continued her strong showing by recording a personal best of 56.54 seconds in the 100m freestyle, underlining her growing form on the international stage.
